Biometric Locker Access

The security of biometric finger scan access

Smarte Locke’s biometric electronic lockers meet all the security requirements for public storage lockers at airports set forth in Directive 400,45.3-2 by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Biometric Locker Access

  • Customers use a touch-screen interface at the locker rental station to rent a locker.
  • Customers can pay for locker rental using cash or credit card.
  • The customer is asked to provide two finger scans on the embedded scanner.
  • The onboard computer stores the fingerprint data and generates a unique PIN code, assigns and opens a locker.
  • The customer receives a printed ticket with locker number and PIN code.
  • The locker number and PIN code are entered at the rental station.
  • The customer is asked to provide two scans of the same finger and, if a match is found, the door is opened.
