Smarte Carte Introduces New Passenger Services at ACI-NA

TORONTO (September 2005) – Smarte Carte’s Airport Services Group is building on the company’s reputation as an innovator and passenger service leader to bring new services to air travelers.

Last Spring, Smarte Carte’s Airport Services Group introduced three new services that were very well received at the AAAE trade show. The Charge Carte™ is a self-serve cell phone charging kiosk equipped with connectors to charge the most popular cell phones. Mail Safe Express™ is a fully automated mailing system that allows travelers to mail personal items not allowed through security checkpoints back to themselves rather than surrendering the items to security officials. The Airside Shopper is a smaller version of the luggage cart designed for use in airport retail areas.

Pay Email™, is a unique high-speed Internet access system that is designed to fit perfectly into pre-existing pay phone enclosures. Pay Email lets airports use existing space more productively, while providing travelers convenient access to e-mail and the Internet.

TaxiPass™ provides a safe and secure way for travelers to use a credit card to pay for cab rides. Customers simply swipe their credit card at the TaxiPass kiosk to obtain a “receipt” that they use to pay their cab fare.
